Warning: Turn Off the source of power before installing or adjusting the LS 1944-1. A live source of power could result in Fatal or Serious Electrical Shock.

Note: The wire that is not used must be properly insulated. Do not put power in excess of 100 va across contacts or short power out across the switch. Destruction of the switch will occur if the unused wire is not electrically insulated.

Lower The Ls-1944-1 Into The Tank And Secure The Cable With Cable Ties Or Weight At The Mid Level Control Point. As The Liquid Rises Or Falls The Ls-1944-1 Will Acutomatically Control The Pump Up Or Pump Down Operation. The Switch Operating Differential “B” Is A Function Of Cable Length “A”.

The Ls-1944-1 Float Is Lowered Into The Tank From The Top Of The Tank And Is Secured At The Desired Alarm Or Control Level. As The Liquid Rises Or Falls The Ls-1944-1 Will Fl Over And Activate The S.P.D.T. Mercury Free Switch.

A Greater Length Than The Standard 20 Foot Cable May Be Needed In Some Installations. This Can Be Supplied By Custom Switches On Special Order. It Is Not Possible To Repair Or Modify The Cable Length On Existing Units. The Cable Lenth May Be Extended Through A Junction Box On The Outside Of The Tank. 6 The Ls-1944-1 Is Not Explosion-Proof (Due To The Cable), But It Has A Hermetically Sealed Switch Element And No Other Components. They Can Be Used In Hazardous Environments Provided They Are Used In Conjuction With An Appropriate Intrinsically Safe Device And Correctly Installed. Custom Switches Inc. Warrants Its Products To Be Free From Defects In Materials And Workmanship, Under Normal Use And Service For A Period Of Twelve (12) Months From Date Of Shipment. The Sole Liability Of Custom Switches Inc. Under This Warranty And The Purchaser’S Sole And Excusive Remedy Is Limited To The Repair Or Replacement, At The Option Of Custom Switches,Inc. Of The Product, Or Any Parts Thereof, Which Upon Examination By Custom Switches,Inc. Disclose To Its Satifaction Defects Due To Faulty Material Or Poor Workmanship, And Which Defects Are Reported To Custom Switches, Inc., In Writing, During The Warranty Period. The Warranty Provisions Contained Herein Are Expressly In Lieu Of All Other War-Ranties, Express Statutory, Or Implied In Fact Or By Law, And All Other Remedies Against Custom Switches, Inc., For Consequential Or Other Damages Arising Out Of The Sale, Use Or Operations Of Its Products, And There Are No Implied Warranties Of Merchantability Or Fitness For A Particular Purpose.
